003: Buffy & the Shot Felt ‘Round the World

The relationship of Tara Maclay and Willow Rosenberg gave us representation we were sorely lacking in primetime television. During the 7 Seasons of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, the writing always gave us hope for a brighter and accepting future. That was dashed with one bullet, one window shattering, one phrase "Your shirt." Was this the beginning of the "bury your gays" trope or just a beloved character being taken too soon?
