002: Xena: A Cultural Icon for LGBTQ+

Xenites around the world know the power her yell wielded & the effect the show had on us all. In this episode, we discuss Xena: Warrior Princess and what the show meant to us. The character was only supposed to last three episodes on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. However, once Xena graced the small screen, it was clear she was meant for greater things. The spinoff eclipsed Hercules to become a cult favorite that continues to garner fans to this very day. In a time when representation was controlled by corporations, politicians and fear - Xena pushed boundaries and gave us something to hold on to.
